PROJECT
Art on the Street Video Title
An animated title inspired by Peggy Guest’s artwork, blending vintage movie graphics with lively jazz to celebrate Columbia’s “Art on the Street” project.
CHALLENGE:
To create an animated title sequence for Art on the Street, a video highlighting local traffic box art installations. The title needed to reflect the style and personality of featured artist Peggy Guest, while blending seamlessly into the overall production’s nostalgic tone.
SOLUTION:
Using Peggy Guest’s vibrant artwork and color palette as inspiration, I designed and animated the title to evoke the charm of an old-time movie graphic. The piece features classic script typography for “Featuring” and a 3D animation of “Peggy Guest” that comes to life in sync with a lively old-time jazz soundtrack. The result feels warm, vintage, and celebratory—capturing both the spirit of the artist’s work and the cultural energy of the project.
