Celebrate Our Line Workers Video Title
This motion title begins with soft, drifting clouds and stark black electrical lines cutting across the sky — a quiet nod to the everyday presence of our city’s infrastructure. As the scene unfolds, those lines transform into brilliant, multicolored streaks and finally dissolve into a cloud of glowing dots — a visual metaphor for both electricity and celebration. The typography mirrors this energy: “Celebrate Our” appears in a dynamic outlined typeface, setting a light and uplifting tone. In contrast, “Line Workers” anchors the composition in bold pink and blue hues — colors chosen to symbolize both appreciation and joy.
This concept reimagines the unseen power of line work as something vibrant, human, and worth celebrating.
CHALLENGE:
To design a compelling motion title for “Celebrate Our Line Workers” using only the title itself — with no access to the video’s footage or storyline. The goal: capture the essence of both electricity and celebration through color, motion, and typography, while honoring the hard work of the people behind the power.
SOLUTION:
I started with imagery that felt familiar — power lines against an open sky — then transformed those static visuals into symbols of energy and appreciation. By gradually shifting from monochrome lines to a spectrum of glowing colors and electric dots, the piece evolves from everyday realism to festive abstraction. The outlined “Celebrate” typography and contrasting pink and blue tones reinforce the sense of vibrancy and gratitude, turning a technical subject into a visual celebration of community power and connection..
