PROJECT
Illustrated Cards for Navian Hawaii, a Hospice and Other Illustrations
Honolulu, with love. These hand-illustrated cards were created to bring a touch of brightness and connection to hospice clients at Navian Hawaii—each one inspired by the vibrant city views from my apartment window.
CHALLENGE:
Designing handmade cards for people in hospice care came with both tenderness and responsibility. I wanted each card to feel comforting and warm, yet still alive with the beautiful bustle of everyday life just outside their windows.
SOLUTION:
I began with quick sketches of Honolulu as seen from the 28th floor—tiny cars, tall palms, and that endless island light. In Photoshop, I layered in cheerful colors and painterly textures, keeping a sense of movement and joy. Printed on thick card stock, the finished pieces feel both handmade and heartfelt—a little window to the world beyond, full of life and love.
