Engineering internships, made vibrant. This animated title was created to promote Public Works engineering internships to college students, highlighting the variety and excitement of real-world experiences..
CHALLENGE:
The goal was to make the internship program feel dynamic and inspiring, while communicating the range of engineering disciplines and projects students might encounter.
SOLUTION:
The animation begins with Public Works Internship: Real-Life Challenges, transitioning to Real-Life Experiences. Stacked text highlights roles like Design-Build Engineer, while keywords such as Innovate, Transit Systems, Infrastructure, Water Quality Management, Government Process, Sewer Design, Traffic Control, and Rain Gardencascade in playful typefaces. The light blue textured background (reminiscent of vintage Apple graphics) is punctuated with neon yellow, orange, green, and white, giving the piece energy and a youthful, engaging feel. The result is a visually dynamic introduction that captures the scope and excitement of engineering internships.

CHALLENGE
The City of Columbia produces a large quantity of videos every year. These videos promote an array of services and classes offered by the city’s recreational department and educate on numerous subjects such as recycling, sustainability, conservation, eating locally, and even the Ebola virus. Title animation is purposefully bold and colorful in order to gain the viewer’s attention. Each title has its own palette and tells a brief story about the video content. We were responsible for art direction, illustration, design, and animation.
